Events

The AVV regularly hosts guided tours and meetings, where visitors are shown the observatory's main instruments and given short lectures on current astronomical topics. On evening hour events with cloudless skies, the tour is 'garnished' with observations of the Moon, planets, star clusters, gas nebulae, and even distant galaxies! Moreover, we host our very popular monthly lectures, whose audience comes from a large area around the observatory: Bonn, Aachen, Trier, Koblenz...

In addition, we are also engaged in schools of the surrounding region, and we carry out events for youth groups.
